And so begins Siren Week...

We have hot things happening this week at BWB. Plung into the minds of Devyn Quinn and Tricia Rayburn for Siren Week...

But for right now, I would like to introduce you to Devyn Quinn:

Devyn Quinn lives in the scenic Southwest, though she has called several other states home. She is a huge fan of dark gothic music & shoot-’em-up action movies. But reading is her first love and Devyn spends too much time with history books, as well as feeding her addiction for celebrity biographies. She especially enjoys reading books on Hollywood before the 1960′s and is crazy about Marilyn Monroe, her legend and her myth.

The very generous Devyn Quinn is offering up 3 THREE ARCs of Siren's Call!

Siren's Call: A Dark Tides NovelSiren's Call: A Dark Tides Novel by Devyn Quinn

Between desire and love there are some things that can’t stay buried, even in the deep of the ocean.

As a woman with a secret, lighthouse keeper Tessa Lonike savors her solitude on the island of Little Mer, off the coast of Maine. During a violent storm, Tessa spots a man thrashing in the ice cold waters and dives in to save him, using her ability as a mermaid to easily pull him to shore.

When Kenneth Randall awakens on the beach he is alone, left with the haunting memory of his beautiful, flame-haired savior. But a year later, when Kenneth meets her again, he’s determined not to let Tessa slip away. Just as the desire between them begins to burn, Tessa’s archaeologist ex-lover comes back to town with a tantalizing clue to her murky heritage.

The trio travel to the Mediterranean in search of answers, and when Tessa inadvertently opens an underwater portal they find a lost mermaid city. But in the deep, not everything is as it seems, and Tessa must decide if she wants to take her place as the royal heir, or follow the call of her heart…

We are going for simple rules for this contest. Comment and win, answer the question below. But of course you must be a follower. Leave your email for contacting purposes. No need to tweet, but we'll love ya if you spread the word.

Question: Haven't we all dreamed of becoming a mermaid or a princess, but a mermaid princess, oh what luck??! Crown or Crush? Do you stay with the man or slip into the seas? (I think there might have even been a Charmed revolving around this question)

That's a tough one! Probably stay with the guy, unless I could think of a way so he could come with me. Sudden merman transformation - GO!

I agree, this is a tough one to answer. I have to say I'd stay with the guy. Something about love and all that.....

Unless I absolutely, positively couldn't pull myself away, I'd slip away, to preserve what I presume is a pretty big secret. The guy could turn out to be some a-hole bigfoot hunter or a papparazo. Or just really freaked out by the tail.

I can't wait to read this book, thanks for the chance to win it.

I'd stay with the guy.

I'd stay with the man and not just for the yumminess he could provide. Though love maybe fleeting, the life of a pricess would come with many rules and regulations despite the perks. Keeping my life for myself is important and, unless there was some sort of life and death situation, I'd want it to stay that way.

Can't wait to read your twist on this story Devyn!!

Well that is a question that would be hard to answer. Stay and live HFN or swim away and find a new life. Depends on the guy-if he was someone I could be with then sure, stay w/him but if he shows his true colors to me or I have a gut feeling he is total jerk then swim away.

Hi Devyn!!!

There was a Charmed like this. LOL It was when Pheobe was trying to get over that Delish Julian McManhon!! But, really, Who would want to give HIM up?? Not me!!!

We spend our lives (kinda) looking for that one person who will compliment us, balance our highs and lows, make our souls sing and our hearts sigh with pleasure. Give that up for the responsibilies of a Kingdom?? NO WAY!!!! LOL Take the LOVE AND PASSION!

If I felt like staying but was not sure if I should, I would find a way to do both. What an intriguing concept!!

SEA! SEA! SEA! Ditch the man, I'm sure she could find some other half-naked merman swimming around so she could keep swimming.

Why can't I do both? Or I agree with Julie, have the man make me
a sea kingdom of my own.
Sounds like the good life to me. LOL

Depends on the man. Would he be worth being with? Would he accept you for who you are? Oh, and I do have a very interesting connection to "Splash" so I've thought about being a mermaid since I was young. :) No, I'm not telling what it is... ;D Besides, she got both the man and I'm guessing the crown. :)

I think unless I could find a way to do both, I'd probably pick the sea. Because if I gave it all up for the man and then it didn't work out, I'd always regret it.

In an ideal world, he could come with me into the sea (even Tom Hanks went with the mermaid at the end of Splash)...if not, then I'd stay with the guy if it was true love.

What a tough decision!! My first inclination is to say the heck with being a princess. You didn't know you were one before, or even if this place existed. Stay with the man that you're drawn to. But, on the other hand, I'm all about not having regrets, and that could be one. Could she take the man with her, or have a part-time princess gig? LOL. I guess I would say stay with the guy-- the inner romantic voice won! :D

being a mermiad princess or something should come with an all powerful father so I'd hope for a reverse of The Little Mermaid (disney's version not hans christen andersen's ;)).

If not possible I'd pick the guy if I knew it was true love and hope for occassional visits to my sea family.

I think there would be regrets no matter what choice is made.

If I really have to choose I would choose to be a princess, because I would want to know the truth about my past.

Well, if you insist that I could not have both...I would go with the Crush provided that it was not merely a crush but love.

Yes, a very hard decision.

I think I would follow the Star-Crossed Lovers tragedy and stay in my kingdom, forever sad about us being apart and hoping for a miracle to bring us together.

That would make a much more interesting book wouldn't it ?
