Masked by Moonlight--Featured Reviewer

Masked by Moonlight
New Orleans homicide detective Charlotte Caissie is used to investigating grisly killings and going after the mob. She's not used to falling for a mob boss's sexy, shadowy second-in-command. The dark something oddly familiar. When Cee-Cee is attacked in a dark alley and Max rescues her, she realizes he once saved her life years ago. Max is hiding a dangerous secret, and an unknown link to her past...and worse, she's falling in love with him ( Goodreads.com)

This was another paranormal romance set in the new Orleans. Charlotte is the detective and max works for the mob and he happens to be a shape shifter. I liked the good vs bad aspect of the them working together.

Cute romance but I didn't feel any heat and i was enjoying the mystery more , but at times it seemed predictable on who murdered who--to gain control of an area. Liked knowing that there was going to be a 2nd book and more information about the cast of characters.

I did enjoy seeing some of the past memories and how they all knew each but wanted more answers. I understand that this is first book , to set it up a series but I had more questions .

Book Review=2

Thanks to Pocket books for the Book and this is my Honest review
