Assassin Week - Best Hitmen & Hitwomen

In honor of our book feature this week, Assassin's Honor by Monica Burns, Blog with Bite is having an Assassin's Week. We came up with a few hit men, assassins and just straight up vigilinate killers for your viewing pleasure. Let us know who is your favorite assassin from book, television or movies.

Also don't forget to enter to win, Monica Burn's Assassin's Honor.

Also, let me know of other assassin's we can feature them later in the week!

Alex Krycek, The X-Files - Any X-Files fans out there? Then you might remember Alex Krycek. First appearing in Episode 2 on the X-Files, Krycek is first paired with Agent Fox Mulder until it is discovered that he is actually working for the Cigarette Smoking Man.

His feature assassination was actually Fox Mulder's father.

Ares, Assassin's Honor - our featured Assassin.  Ares is from an ancient assassin's order called the Sicari. Ares is also telekinetic, which means he can undress you with his mind. What more can you ask for?

Martin Q. Blank, Grosse Point Blank.  Who can forget Martin Blank, assassin, and graduate of Grosse Point High School.

Martin thinks it will be great fun to return to his hometown, reconnect with his school mate chums and maybe hook back up with the great regret girl.

The Bourne Identity: A NovelJason Charles Bourne, aka David Webb, The Bourne Identity - main character in Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Identity and played by Matt Damon in the film versions. His debut was in the novel The Bourne Identity (1980). Jason Bourne was a member of the assassination unit, or death squad known as Medusa.

The Bride, Kill Bill Vol. 1  once again, more vigilante or revenge killer than assassin, Ms. Thurman plays The Bride in QTs 4th film which took blood splatter to a new level.

Devyn Wade, Born of Ice (The League Series by Sherilyn Kenyon) spent his life in service to the League until he learned of the double dealing and backstabbing that was costing innocent people their lives. Refusing to play those politics, he became a Runner- someone who makes sure planets get the weapons, medicine and supplies they need to survive. May the gods have mercy on any who get in his way, because he definitely won't.

El Mariachi, Desperado is more of a vigilante than an assassin. The fabled guitar player comes into town with his guitar case - but instead of pulling out the stringed instrument and playing a few tunes - he has enough ammo to drop an entire bar filled to the brink with Mexican mafia.

Elektra Natchios, Electra. A female Marvel Comic character brought to life by Jennifer Garner in 2005.  Elektra is an international assassin whose weapon of choice is some fancy ninja weapons called Sai.

Elektra is what is known as a kunoichi, or a female ninja assassin of Greek descent. Weapon of choice is a two bladed Sai. Her hottie is the blind super hero Daredevil, but because she is, well, an assassin he tends to shy away from her.  These tough as nails women are never understood.

Julian Noble, The Matador, played by Pierce Brosnan is an executioner (don't call him a Hit Man).  Heavy drinker, smoker and woman chaser, Noble is a burnt out assassin, basically.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Silly movie, but epic in the fact that it paired together the power couple Bragelina (sp?).  Mr. & Mrs. Smith are assassin's that meet on assignment but have no idea that they are both assassins. They get married and on discovery of their assassiness - well they try to kill each other, in between hot dance scenes.

Nykyrian, Born of Night (The League Series by Sherilyn Kenyon)
Command Assassin Nykyrian Quikiades was born and trained to slaughter. Refusing to be a pawn, he turned his back on the League and has been hunted by them ever since. Though many have tried, none can kill him.

Syn, Born of Fire (The League Series by Sherilyn Kenyon) was raised as a tech-thief until his livelihood uncovered a truth that could end his life. He tried to destroy the evidence and has been on the run ever since. Now trained as an assassin, he allows no one to threaten him. Ever. He is the darkness that swallows his enemies whole.

Vincent, Collateral played by Tom Cruise. Vincent is a psycho that Jamie Foxx picks up in his cab and turns out to be a hit man.
