Soulless Blog with Bite January Adult Feature

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate)
Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate) by Gail Carriger

Alexia Tarabotti is laboring under a great many social tribulations. First, she has no soul. Second, she's a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.

Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire -- and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.

With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London's high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?

SOULLESS is a comedy of manners set in Victorian London: full of werewolves, vampires, dirigibles, and tea-drinking.

Blog with Bite is doing thing differently this go-round.  There will be no sign up deadline.  Just a review deadline.  Review deadline is January 15th.  So get your reviews in by the 15th and they will be counted for the Top Reviewer awards.

I'm sad that I won't be able to participate in this one. My schedule just won't allow for me to get it by teh review deadline. (Evil wait lists at the library!)

I can't wait to read all your reviews though! I hope you all enjoy it!

Sounds good. I sometimes love a book that has a bit of comedy in it.

Even though I've heard good things about this book, I'm not really interested in reading. I rarely read historicals.
